Why You Should Consider Staying At The Sheraton

As has already been mentioning, the hotel is connected to the BJCC facility where the Exhibit Hall is and there is a complimentary airport shuttle.

The Exhibit Hall will be East Exhibit Hall 3, which is on the upper level of the BJCC – and the same level as to where the skywalk comes over from the hotel to the facility.  If you are not at the show hotel, you would have to park at one of the facility garages and transport your supplies and cats to the escalator or elevator to go upstairs to the Exhibit Hall.

 
Besides the most convenient access to the show hall, whether you drive or fly there are plenty of dining options within walking distance as well as attractions to visit.  In addition to the hotel restaurants, there is a Subway on the property for a quick bite and just behind the hotel is the Uptown entertainment district with a variety of dining options.

The Birmingham Museum of Art is just 2 blocks away and the Civil Rights Museum and recently nationally declared civils right historic district is about 8 blocks away.  More dining options are available all over downtown Birmingham.

Transportation by taxicab, Uber or Lyft is also available at the hotel and are great for short trips.  If you flew and would rather not rent a car for the entire time you are in town, there is an Enterprise Rent A Car location downtown and you could also take the shuttle back to the airport to pick up a car from there.
