Show Hall / Hotel  - Evergreen Lodge and Convention Center, 4010 Parkway Pigeon Forge TN 37863. Call (865-453-1823)  and talk to Sheila.   Ask for the Volunteer Cat Club block.  A credit card will be required to make your reservation, however no deposit will be charge at the time you make your reservation.

Several alternate hotels are available in the area.  Show management has contacted these properties for the following information. No specific block of rooms has been contracted with these properties.  The rates given here are the normal rates for the weekend according to what we have been told.

Red Roof Inn (2826 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN  37863) - 865-453-9151- $79 plus tax  (Sunday and Thursday $54.99 plus tax)

Super 8 (215 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863) - 865-868-6030 (ask for Rachel) - $99 plus tax.

La Quinta (125 Community Center Drive, Pigeon Forge, TN  37863) - 865-908-6633 - $129 plus tax (Sunday and Thursday $69 plus tax)

Paula Dean has her restaurant about a mile away, the trolley stops at the hotel costing 50 cents for a ride anywhere in town and or to Gatlinburg. The Island has a large Ferris wheel, Jimmy Buffet restaurant and hotel. Dollywood is always a wonderful place in the Smokies, as is Dixie Stampede across the street.

Depending on Covid restrictions, the hotel may or may not provide breakfast. There is a KFC in the hotel parking lot and a Cracker Barrel is within walking distance next door.

There will be a concession in the showhall or you are welcome to bring food in.

Please be sure to confine spraying males (and females!) and clean up after yourself and your cats so we will be welcome here again. CATS MUST BE CONFINED WHEN UNATTENDED IN THE ROOM. We are using TICA’s hotel policy!

Closest airport: The closest major airport to Pigeon Forge is McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, TN (TYS).  Airlines serving TYS are Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, and United.  Contact Stephanie Smith for transportation information from the airport.

Show Hours: Check-in on Saturday will be from 7:00 am to 8:15 am and show hours will be 8:30 am to 4 pm Saturday and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Advertised show hours for the public are 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. All cats must remain in the show hall during advertised show hours unless permission to leave is given by show management. No cats may be left overnight in the show hall.

WEATHER: Historically for our weekend the temperature in Pigeon Forge typically ranges from 33F to 47F and is rarely below 18F or above 61F  Snow, if any, ranges from 0.9"-2.3"  With the current La Nina the long term forecasts are for a warmer than normal winter.

ALCOHOL POLICY:  For liability reasons this show has a no open container policy.  Any exhibitors found to have open alcohol containers, alcoholic beverages, or non-liquid equivalents such as "Jello shots", in the showhall will be asked to remove them from the showhall.  Sealed containers are allowed as long as they remain sealed within the confines of the showhall.

Registration: To show a cat in a TICA show your cat might need to be TICA registered or eligible for registration.  All cats shown in the following classes must be TICA registered to be entered in a show: Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits.  All cats shown in the Kitten, Championship, and Alter classes must be TICA registered or eligible for registration.  If not registered, proof of registration eligibility is required to enter the show.  Contact the entry clerk for more information on how to enter your cat, kitten, or alter without at TICA registration number.   Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional/International awards, all cats (other than household pet kittens) must be registered by their second show. Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information & forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website at www.tica.org.

Benching: One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. A single cage (also noted in the pricing as an extra 1/2 cage) is approx. 24"L X 22"W X 22"H. Most entry fees include full double cages spaces (approx. 44"L x 22"W x 22"H). Anyone using their own cages must have even full-double cage spaces. For those using wire cages, the two sides, back, and top must be covered. For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for the bottom of the cage too!

Grooming spaces: These measure 44"L x 22"W.

For Sale: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age), and no kittens or cats may be confined to carriers during show hours.

Services: Litter will be available. Please bring your own litter pans, cat food, and bowls. There will be people food available in the show hall.

Health: This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging.

Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. Kittens may be spayed or neutered.

Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm or send the entry clerk a color photo of your entry. Photo will be returned at check in.

Clerks/Stewards: If you are interested in clerking, please indicate so on the summary sheet, along with any judge preference. TICA licensed clerks will be given preference and judge requests will be honored to the best of our ability. TICA certified clerks will be compensated $50 per day plus lunch and a fully marked catalog. You will be compensated at the end of the show on the day you clerk. Stewards are also needed. They will be paid $25 per day. Please let us know on the summary sheet if you have someone available.

Awards: Awards will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules. This show is scored for TICA Regional and International awards.

Sponsors: A show cannot survive without sponsors and do we have a deal for you!  You can sponsor one judge in one ring for $25.  But, if you want to, you can sponsor ALL judges in ALL rings for the entire show for $100!  

 Liability: Neither Volunteer Cat Club, TICA, nor Evergreen Lodge/Smoky Mountain Convention Center will be held liable for injury, illness, loss or damage to cats, exhibitors, property of exhibitor, property of exhibitors, vendors, or other such persons or property in attendance.
