We are using TICA’s hotel policy! Rate includes a free hot breakfast. There is also a KFC in the parking lot and a Cracker Barrel next door. NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS PERMITTED IN SHOW HALL: A vendor with salads, sandwiches and chips will be available from 11-3 both days Things To Do: Paula Dean has her restaurant about a mile away, the trolley stops at the hotel costing 50 cents for a ride anywhere in town and or to Gatlinburg. The Island has a large Farris wheel, Jimmy Buffet restaurant and hotel. Dollywood is always a wonderful place in the smokies, as is Dixie stampede across the street. Travel Information: The closest major airport to Pigeon Forge is McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, TN (TYS). Airlines serving TYS are Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, and United. Contact show management for transportation information from the airport, we will try to accommodate. Summer is a insane time in Pigeon Forge, so leave extra time for travel. Show Hours: Check-in on Saturday will be from 7:30 am to 8:15 am and show hours will be 8:30 am to 4 pm Saturday and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Advertised show hours for the public are 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. All cats must remain in the show hall during advertised show hours unless permission to leave is given by show management. No cats may be left overnight in the show hall. Registration: To show a cat in a TICA show your cat might need to be TICA registered or eligible for registration. All cats shown in the following classes must be TICA registered to be entered in a show: Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits. All cats shown in the Kitten, Championship, and Alter classes must be TICA registered or eligible for registration. If not registered, proof of registration eligibility is required to enter the show. Contact the entry clerk for more information on how to enter your cat, kitten, or alter without at TICA registration number. Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional/International awards, all cats (other than household pet kittens) must be registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551). Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information & forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website at www.tica.org. Benching: One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 24"L X 22"W X 22 H". You may pay extra with a single entry to have the full (double) cage. The two sides, back, and top must be covered. For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for the bottom of the cage too! Grooming spaces: These measure 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches. For Sale: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age), and no kittens or cats may be confined to carriers during show hours. Services: Litter will be available. Please bring your own litter pans, cat food, and bowls. There will be people food available in the show hall. Health: This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. Kittens may be spayed or neutered. Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm or send the entry clerk a color photo of your entry. Photo will be returned at check in. Clerks/Stewards: If you are interested in clerking, please indicate so on the summary sheet, along with any judge preference. TICA licensed clerks will be given preference and judge requests will be honored to the best of our ability. TICA certified clerks will be compensated $30 per day plus lunch and a fully marked catalog. You will be compensated at the end of the show on the day you clerk. Stewards are also needed. They will be paid $20 per day. Please let us know on the summary sheet if you have someone available. IF YOUR INTERESTED IN CLERKING AND STEWARDING THE SAME RING you will be paid $60.00 per day plus lunch Awards: Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules.
