Show Hall: Anniston Meeting Center , 1615 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36202. There is no onsite concession so please feel free to bring your own food (but not (open) alcohol). There are numerous food options nearby and we will take a break to allow time to pick up lunch.Please also put ALL trash in appropriate receptacles, not under cages.

Show Hotel - Victoria Inn – 1600 Quintard Ave., Anniston, AL 36202. Call 256-236-0503 to make reservations and tell them you are with Alabama Paws & Claws Exhibitors. The hotel typically has a tiered rate structure AND a pet fee. They are offering a bundled rate of $75 plus tax for a single queen, single king or double double room, no pet fee. Suites in the main house are also available at higher rates.. The hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast cooked on site and free wifi – and is next door to the show hall!!. If you book online you will NOT get the bundled rate or waived pet fee. BLOCK EXPIRES THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2015. We will be following TICA Hotel Inspection Guidelines. Please leave your room as you found it so we may continue to use this facility. There are a few other pet friendly hotels, however most charge pet fees and some are ‘buyer beware’ should you choose to stay there. Do check out the Victoria online at www.thevictoria.com. It is a unique property, Victorian era mansion with architecturally matching hotel added on later. Restaurant onsite. Waffle House next door.

Airport Transportation: Fly into Birmingham International Airport (BHM) or Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL). We will make every effort to pick up exhibitors that fly into BHM and will be staying at the show hotel. Feel free to compare ATL fares (rental needed if using ATL). If you would like transportation, please arrive no later than 9pm Friday evening, March 20. If flying into BHM, please try to book flights at or after 6pm Sunday, recommend 8pm (Eastern) or later for ATL. If you would like to book a flight to coincide with a known (judge) pickup, contact Honey Gilmore.

Show Hours:
Check-in will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Saturday, 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Judging will begin promptly at 9:30 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM on Sunday. Advertised show hours for the public are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day. Permission from show management must be obtained to leave earlier.

Junior Exhibitor Ring: A JE ring judged by (TBA) will be held on Saturday afternoon.

Registration: Preliminary & Advanced New Breeds and New Traits must be registered to enter and compete. While it is not necessary for cats, kittens, alters or household pets to be registered with TICA to compete, registration is necessary for your entry to be scored for titles, regional and international awards. Show Rules: TICA show rules and related rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by these rules and the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules may be obtained from the TICA Executive Office for a fee. Contact information for the TICA Executive Office can be found in the previous paragraph. You may also print the rules online at http://tica.org/members/publications/shw_rules.pdf.

Awards: a) All entries will receive a single rosette and rosette bars will be awarded in the rings for finals accordance with TICA Show Rules. 
b) Best of the Best will be awarded the top three cats, kittens, alters, HHPs and HHPKs.
b) SPECIAL AWARDS
Acrith Award to the best red or red/white cat, kitten, alter, HHP or HHP Kitten in show. Any entry in these classes with red in the color description is eligible for the award.
Catalystic Award will be presented to the highest scoring Maine Coon cat, kitten or alter.
Ashpurr Award will be presented to the highest scoring American Shorthair cat, kitten or alter.
April Award will be presented to the highest scoring solid white cat, kitten, alter, HHP or HHP kitten.

Health: This is a non-vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia), and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV (feline AIDS). TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging.

Kittens: All kittens (pedigreed or HHP) entered for competition must be at least 4 months old, but less than 8 months old, on the day of the show. Kittens in the show hall for sale and/or exhibition must be at least 3 months old.

Household Pets: Household Pet Adults (8 months old and up) must be spayed/neutered. Household Pet Adults are judged in 32 color/pattern divisions the same as pedigreed cats. If you are not sure which color and/or pattern class your cat belongs in, please send a color picture of your cat with your entry. Photos will be returned at check-in. You will also have an opportunity Saturday morning to have the senior judge make a final determination if the color/pattern is still in question.

Benching & Supplies: Each entry will be provided a single benching cage measuring 22"L x 22"W x 22"H and are provided with each entry. Full cage size is 44"L x 22"W x 22"H. You may pay extra with a single entry to have the full (double) cage for your cat. All cages must be covered on the sides and top. You may want to bring a rug, blanket, etc. for the bottom of the cage and other items to help your cat feel more comfortable. No more than one adult cat or 2 kittens are allowed per single cage. You will need to bring litter pan(s), food bowls, and food. Litter will be provided.

For Sale/Exhibition Cages: For sale/exhibition cages are available ONLY for exhibitors with other cats entered for competition. See Summary Sheet for price.

Clerks & Stewards: ARE NECESSARY FOR THE SHOW TO HAPPEN! If you would like to clerk, please indicate so on your summary sheet, along with any judge preferences. Licensed clerks will be given priority and judge requests will be honored to the best of our ability. Clerks will be compensated $60 for two days or $30 for one day, plus lunch and a marked catalog. Stewards may also be needed. Please let us know if you have someone available.

For the comfort of our exhibitors and spectators: The show hall area will be designated as non-smoking. Children are always welcome at our shows, but for the enjoyment of all, we request that youngsters be supervised at all times. Show management reserves the right to ask parents to control or remove disruptive children as well as any other disruptive exhibitors, spectators, etc.

Liability: Neither Alabama Paws & Claws, TICA, Anniston Meeting Center, Victoria Inn or any other hotels can be held liable for loss, theft, accident/injury to animals, personal property, exhibitors, or their guests.
